Experience the drama and color of the post-winter season with a floral takeover of the historic Lyndhurst mansion in Tarrytown.

The dramatic Gothic Revival estate kicks off the spring season with the Lyndhurst Flower & Antiques Show in April. The historic rooms of the Alexander Jackson Davis-designed 1838 mansion will be lush with everything from floral artwork to headpieces. Visitors will be able to walk through the mansion on self-guided tours to take in the floral fantasy.

You can combine your visit with a bit of shopping at the antiques show taking place in another building on the estate grounds. In keeping with the spring theme, there will be garden antiques but also fine art, jewelry and mid-century design.

Special events being offered over the weekend include a family-friendly floral workshop, jewelry appraisals, a plant sale and an antiques show walking tour. If you need a break from the visual overload, you can have a civilized high tea in the Guest Cottage on the grounds.
