We’re going to be taking a breather today but if you happen to be online, we’d be interested in hearing your Thanksgiving thoughts as they relate to your neighborhood. Are there changes that have happened over the past year (or years) that you’re thankful for? (Are there any you’re not so thankful for?) Are there any groups (churches, non-profits, etc.) at work in your community that you think particularly embody the spirit of the day? Are any of you spending your day helping those less fortunate than you? Anything but real estate today. And, by the way, don’t click on any url’s in the comments. Someone’s feeling particularly un-Thanksgiving-ish today.

Ah, Thanksgiving in Sunset Park. Two years ago, we woke Thanksgiving morning to find two of our car tires slashed. This Thanksgiving, some POS took a permanent black marker to the side of my father’s silver car. I’ll be thankful when I leave this hell hole.
well, our year old condo hasn’t fallen down, so we had several of our neighbors over for a pre-thanksgiving glass of wine, and then made dinner. it was really great, and we are super thankful for our new neighbors. we have made so many new friends.
I’m thankful that I’m in my beautiful house (a year ago I wasn’t in contract yet) with great neighbors, great family and great friends. Life is much better than it ever has been, and with a little luck, I’ll be able to host Thanksgiving dinner for family and friends next year.
Screw Thanksgiving.
I wish Brownstoner would treat every day as thanksgiving. Somehow behaving on one day seems absurd.
Thanksgiving will be worthless once the AY are built.
