  1. 1110 caton is not Ditmas Park by a longshot. More like prospect park south, but in terms of building styles and demographics, it’s more like flatbush. Earlier comments about the train station are dead on. Sketchy.

  2. Caton Avenue has beautiful pre-war apartment buildings with large apartments, complete with large sunny rooms arranged around court yards. I don’t know what this apartment looks like but if its similar to the one or two that I have seen, it is probably nice. I have noticed that many of the buildings on Caton, especially east of E 18th street have really been doing a good job of cleaning up and maintaining the buildings. I’d rather a co-op/condo in an older building than new construction. The draw back is that the Caton Avenue train station, which is the back of the Church avenue station is scary during the day but even more so at night. Many of the buildings on Caton west of E 18th have huge potential but questionable activity goes on in some of them. Also too many residents in these buildings over occupy their apartments by allowing extended family and boarders to live with them in order to afford the rent. Parking is also atrocious.
