With new streets and new waterfront parks, Greenpoint Landing is recasting a slice of an historically industrial area into a new multi-building development — and Two Blue Slip is one of its anchors.
A joint venture between Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group, Two Blue Slip — its sister, One Blue Slip, opened in 2018 — features 421 rentals, including studios, two-bedrooms and 12 penthouses.
Handel Architects referenced the industrial architecture of neighboring warehouses by installing divided-light windows. Similarly, the interiors designed by Gachot Studios also embrace warmly industrial touchstones.
Units include views in all directions, floor-to-ceiling windows, and Bosch washer and dryers. Kitchens include quartz countertops, under-cabinet task lighting, and some units feature a kitchen island. Bathrooms glisten with quartz countertops, tile backsplashes and Toto toilets.
Two Blue Slip is not shy on amenities: The Club at Two Blue Slip includes The Pool Club with a private bar, lounge, and reservable cabanas — all with views of the Manhattan skyline.
A two-story fitness center features cardio and strength training options, including TRX equipment and a spin studio.
A landscaped outdoor deck’s tables and chairs are flanked by grill stations and wet bars.
Inside, the resident’s lounge showcases an enticing fireplace, where you can work and host meetings during the day, and reserve for private parties.
A newly opened coffee bar, Eleva, offers residents an in-house space to enjoy sustainably sourced beans.
The neighborhood has its own dining options, of course, with American (21 Greenpoint), French (Le Gamin), classy cocktails (Jungle Cafe) and gourmet pizzeria (Paulie Gee’s).
Nearby is the Greenpoint ferry and the Manhattan Avenue G subway.
And there’s also stretches of new waterfront space, designed by James Corner Field Ops, one of the firms behind the Highline. With native and adaptive plants like Eastern red cedar, black tupelo, and winterberry, the parks will add to the “green” in Greenpoint.
