Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, located in New York City’s historic financial district, is just over the river — and Brooklyn families are sending their children there.

Today nearly 20 percent of Léman families live in Brooklyn — the number of preschool and elementary students from Brooklyn has particularly spiked.

To accommodate the increased demand, starting in the 2020-2021 school year, Léman will provide private bus service to students from Brooklyn in kindergarten and up. According to Paige Murphy, head of marketing and communications, the bus service will differentiate the school’s offerings as many schools run only Manhattan service.

“Bus service would provide families with convenience and flexibility, and current families have expressed interest in bus service,” said Murphy.
