Condos at the Luminous at 214 Richardson Street in Williamsburg — a Scarano Architects design known as the “other finger building” — are back on the market. They’ve been on and off the market since 2008, and there have been two sales, both in 2010, according to Streeteasy. The prices seem low for Williamsburg, clocking in at less than $800 per square foot on average. But if the building has ever had more than a temporary certificate of occupancy, we can’t find it. As built, the structure exceeds its allowed FAR, according to PropertyShark, so perhaps the DOB will never grant one — in which case, anyone who buys a unit there could be in a legal limbo land, much like the folks over at Spencer Street Condos.
