Another top ten list from 2010? Why not! We don’t keep as close an eye on commercial real estate in Brooklyn, but Property Shark pulled together the top commercial sales in the borough last year. Greenpoint’s Veridian holds the top ranking, with a $58.2 million sale in December. Seems huge for Greenpoint, no? Next is 496 Fulton, the building went for $46,442,851. And third is the property at 205 Montague, where Massey Knakal told us it was considering subleasing its rented office space. The whole building was bought in July for $33 million. Anyone know what is happening at 496 Fulton Street? A number of businesses have been closing in that location.
For the record, the Veridian “sale” is a bankruptcy transaction, not arms’ length. I don’t think it is accurate to list it as a top anything, except maybe as a top 10 stupidest boom-era lending transaction.
