The Stamp Building at 307 Atlantic Avenue went on the rental market last Saturday, and Curbed is reporting that the building is nearly 60 percent leased. That was fast! There are pictures of some model apartments via Curbed, who calls the finishes and amenities “pretty standard.” Studios are going for $1,900 a month, one-bedrooms for $2,475, and two-bedrooms for $3,450.

  1. Well, in that world you’re going to need more money or have to be willing to live somewhere else.

I personally find it impressive that this 2 BR is more than 2x what I’ve rented in Ft. Greene and PLG.

  2. Yes, and I realize that’s what drives the prices up in gentrified Brooklyn, but there’s a whole world of living in the post-roommate stage. I guess this would be okay for a family, but for 3500/month, I’d think you could find something bigger and nicer in the same area.

  3. I thought it was overpriced. Also they are playing games with how they list the rent. They say you get 1 month’s free rent, but when they tell you the monthly rent they say it’s “net” – meaning, that’s the monthly rent after you factor in the one month “free” rent. So, the one month free rent is… not in fact free.
