The latest Hello Living buildings to offer new units are the Austin and the Montana, reported Set Speed Condo last week. Aguayo & Huebener shows nine units up for grabs at the Montana, and the prices seem rather practical compared to some other projects holding tight to 2007 boom-style prices. A two-bed, one-bath is going for $450,000. The highest priced unit is a 1.5-bath studio/loft for $799,000. The Austin‘s condos are on another tier, with four units on the market ranging from an $865,000 three-bed to a $955,000 studio-loft. Any takers here?

Everybody has different tastes but I can’t stand islands in small spaces, and I love linear kitchens. I commend the developers for not over-crowding these small spaces with L-shaped kitchens and islands. The layouts of the units in 957 (and similar HL bldgs) are simple and efficient, ie a rectangle with a box in it. The box is the bathroom,
and mechanicals. The front and rear of the box provide kitchen and bedroom closets. Then they leave some room for outdoor space which can be completely open to the interior of the unit in the summer. Floor throughs offer much better air circulation than the floor plans which have a living area flanked by two bedrooms. Small yes, but well thought out. This type of design could be used to think of clever urban modular homes. But not everybody’s cup of tea.
apologies about the spelling. Still a bit drugged up from a doctors appointment.
They should have really configured it as 1 BR or 1BR + office AT BEST.
They could have also added an kitcehn island – even if it had not sink. Just need more counter and storage space.
I think these helloliving condos are nice overall. 450k for a small 2BR with an outdoor terrace, gym, pool seems relatively fair. I guess it all comes down to how much that area in and around Washington Ave develops over the next several yrs. certainly a lot of potential near atlantic, but also not the prettiest area (at the moment).
450 for a 2br might sound good until you go see them. This is a nearly identical layout to 957 Pacific Hello project except the one bedroom is split into 2 very small rooms. I’m not sure a king size bed would fit into either of them very comfortably.
Oh, my bad.
Someone needs to let condo developers know that these straight-line kitchens are a) ugly, and b) not very functional.
No, I think it’s 450 for a 2 bedroom. That seems pretty good if it’s true.
450 for a 1BR on that side of Wash is not 2007ish?
