Rental of the Day: 867 Knickerbocker, #1L

This five-bedroom, 1.5-bath duplex for rent in Bushwick is way down at the end of the neighborhood by the graveyards but offers tons of space for roommates. The 1,475-square-foot pad looks like it was just gut-renovated, complete with new stainless steel appliances and the requisite exposed brick. The fact that the listing calls it a “five-bedroom convertible” makes us wonder if there are four actual bedrooms and a suggestion to put up some walls in the common space downstairs to create a fifth one.

Anyway, there’s a washer and dryer and access to a backyard. And with this many bedrooms (and potential roommates), two full bathrooms would be better. It’s about four blocks to the Halsey or Wilson L train. What do you think of it for $4,300?
