49 willow street brooklyn heights 12015

This Brooklyn Heights studio is tiny and doesn’t have much in the way of original detail, but it looks to be in decent shape and is reasonably priced for the area. The kitchen and bathroom appear to be recently updated, and the white subway tile in the bath is nice, although we see some moldy-looking grout where it meets the bathtub.

It’s four blocks in either direction from the A/C trains at High Street and the 2/3 at Clark Street. Do you think it’s a good value at $1,595 a month?

  1. Hi, I am the broker for the property. You might be interested to know that 2E rented with 3 applications on it for $1625/month. 2H and 3B, also studios went for the same price in hours last week. Unit 5E is on the market now for $1625 – mid-March or April move in. If you know anyone who could benefit from seeing it, feel free to reach out. It’s one of the cleanest, best-run rental buildings in the borough. And yes, they most certainly did re-grout the bathroom, just not before my photographer could get there! Best wishes,

  2. Agreed, I’m not real up on what studios rent for these days, but based on gut and rents for larger apartments in other neighborhoods, this seems like a pretty good price for a studio in that area.

Also it seems a bit pedantic to include comments about the amount (or lack) of “original detail” in a $1600 studio rental. I know this is Brownstoner and not 6storyPostWar-izen, but we needn’t necessarily fetishize “detail” in all places.
