Rental of the Day: 289 Lefferts Avenue
Here’s a floor-through rental at 289 Lefferts Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, courtesy of the Brownstoner Marketplace. But the lack of broker’s fee (it’s for rent by owner) and free internet and cable definitely helps take the edge off. As for the apartment itself, looks like a no-frills, tasteful space. We’ll give it a thumbs up—what about you?

Well, sort of serious, anyways. They look like Ligne Roset (sp), which I cannot probably afford, even used.
It looks nice. But what I really want is that couch. And the purple thing. Are you selling those? I am serious.
That’s about $50 more than what I paid when I lived in a two bedroom in Boerum Hill.
what is there in that hood in the way of bars, restaurants and grocery stores?
I live across the street (literally). The owners, who live downstairs, are very nice people and their house is lovely and in good shape. The apartment looks very nicely done as well. Great neighborhood, great block. No comment on the price (let’s just say that I pay considerably less for an identical space but I’ve been here for six years).
Rob,
Even if the “free” internet is through a wireless router on the owner’s account I don’t think he could monitor your usage.
internet is $30. please tell me where you can get cable for $45.
free internet and cable… hmmm.
1.) you would still need to get a converter box and that costs like 30 bux a month by itself (for an extra one, assuming this is on the owner’s account)
2.) free internet… um chary! do you really want your landlord monitoring what you look at on the internet!?
*rob*
Does “free cable” mean you get the owner’s cable? Meaning you can’t add/change channels or services? If so, no thanks, I’ll pay my own.
