This two-bedroom rental at 99 Clinton Street in Brooklyn Heights is quite impressive. It’s in an old church-turned-co-op-building, and a meeting with the board is required to gain entry as a renter. The apartment also comes fully furnished, but only a two month rental with the possibility of extension. With all that of the way, this apartment has amazing details, big windows, and beautiful stained glass. Apartments in former churches or schools often get gutted but this has held onto many of its charms. (Although, what’s up with those railings?) This runs $6,000 a month for only two bedrooms, but with office space, a terrace, cleaning services, utilities, and the use of a Baby Grand piano. What do you think?

this does seem cheaper compared to comparable VRBO rentals

Honestly, the recent picks have jumped the shark. What is the thinking process? Let me pick the most expensive rental, coop or house on the market?
…
Agreed.
So, I’m not in the market – but just glancing at what came on the market this week, I think this is interesting:

Wow, 3rd St betwn 5th/6th, 7 rooms/3 bdrm/1 bth 4 $2,800. Not in primo shape, but still, darn good price for a family looking to get their foot in the PS 107/321 door (I don’t know which and its not important).
Seems that would generate a bit more discussion than the typical listing that elicits “check this shit out can you fucking believe it and DAMN somebody will pay it I hate this fucking town”.
Shit’s getting old, ya know?
Maybe you can charge more in rent if you only offer short term leases. Most likely they’re looking for renters who just moved to the city who need a short term place to lease while they find something more permanent.

Well if 2 brs are $4,500/mo. in Clinton Hill, $6,000 in Brooklyn Heights is a steal.
WTF is a “Two month with possible extension” lease? Does Corcoran get a full broker’s fee for finding a subletter?
Cool place, in any event. Hope heat’s included.
Blah! The interiors look pretty beat up, but I guess you could do worse for a short-term furnished rental.
BH, this place is ALWAYS a short term lease so wouldnt be surprised the old lease lapsed and they’re searching for another tenant.
compared to the shit we see recently with the big ass ASK, this 6k ASK looks like a massive bargain. if this was available to be leased for 1 to 2 yrs, I would nibble.
