This Clinton Hill loft in a former knitting factory is a little rough around the edges but overall has quite a bit of character. (We’re suckers for old wooden columns and beams!) Too bad there aren’t more windows though. The two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom place is priced at $2,438 a month. It rented for $2,070 in April of this year and apparently the tenant bailed on his lease. Kind of a significant price boost since April, no?

  1. the building is stabilized if it has tax abatement so that number may be the ‘legal’ rent which they want to keep in place in the documents, while charging ‘market’

  2. My friends lived in this building for a couple of years and it was as depressing as hell. There is barely any natural light in the main space and there’s no overhead lighting. They had tons of lamps all over and it was still dingy. All that space and my friends used to spend time sitting in the bedroom just for the sunlight.
