This studio at University Towers, the housing complex at 122 Ashland Place, seems like a decent deal to us. The studio has a nice separate space for the kitchenette, which makes the place look less cramped than a single room studio apartment. The location, while not in the thick of the Fort Greene restaurant scene, is still quite conveniently located. And the rent of $1,450 strikes us as reasonable for an elevator building. Thoughts?

  1. Not exactly same as all Fort Greene since it is on Flatbush. So “nothing there”:ONE min to subway B,D,R,40 min WALK to Downtown Manhattan over any of two bridges(or 10 min bike ride),BAM,Fort Greene Park,10-15 min to DUMBO,Brooklyn Bridge Park,Fulton and Atlantic Malls. No restaurants on the block, true, but walkable to restaurant of FG (DeKalb/Fulton Area),DUMBO or Smith st.So “nothing there” depends what you are looking for and how close (Yankee Stadium on the block or Per Se around the corner?)

  2. The location is Fort Greene…or some may call it Downtown Brooklyn. Clearly, you don’t live in Ft. Greene or you’d know it’s a block from uhhhh Ft. Greene Park.

  3. Calling that location “Fort Greene” strikes me as a bit of a stretch. Nice building, nicely finished, but the place is TINY. No way I’d pay $1450 to live there.
