Rental of the Day: 553 18th Street
This three-bedroom at 553 18th Street in Windsor Terrace has something of a split personality. The parlor floor portion of the apartment is reasonably attractive, with nice windows and wood floors. The lower floor, which is partially below grade, is fairly devoid of charm; minimal windows and wall-to-wall carpeting don’t help the cause. The garden is a big plus, though, and for multiple roommates the $3,750-a-month rent could end up working out okay. We’d try to negotiate some bathroom upgrades into the lease though. These ones have seen better days.

That is not Manhattan Denton- That’s Windsor Terrace in Brooklyn.
looks like plaster watering cans, not teapots. regardless, omfg that bathroom is dreadful! the dehumidifier / space heater thingy in one of the bedroom pics is also a red flag. NEXT!
The only unconfusing rooms are the living room/dining room area. The kitchen was really nice. Bathrooms really do it for me and those two need to be completely renovated to wow me.
I can see why it’s price is ridiculous,THAT agent…Ack!
That price is ABSURD.
ROB you are hilarious! But damn, there’s a watering pot (not a tea pot) in both bathrooms!
man was I confused looking at that map. Then I realized, that’s Manhattan!
the toilet probably doesnt work unless you pour water down it so the teapot is most likely there for that purpose. also back in the day in ancient england they would drink tea all day, it’s really no different than having a cigarette ashtray on top of your toilet.
*rob*
These people are out of their minds!! I even call the realty into question that listed this apartment at that price!
Thats a good price if you are within 1 block of the train and park and without an expressway across the street from your house! Why would anyone basically pay a mortgage to live in that crappy house on that crappy block??
Looks like someone is running a business out of this place.
No, I don’t think those are legal bedrooms.
The teapot kinda freaks me out, too!!!
