252 Richardson is a three-bedroom duplex in Williamsburg. The bedroom pictured looks sizable, but the listing mentions that the third one could be used as an office or guest bedroom. However, we’d say the owner getting the asking rent, which is $3,850, is somewhat dependent on the livability of that third bedroom. Overall, the apartment looks well maintained and we’re crazy about the private terrace. The rent may be pushing it for that side of the BQE, though. What do ya think?

  1. FYI Sleazeball is synonymous with Realtor. MORE FYI; a BROKER is the OWNER of a Real Estate Company. The rest of the agents are REAL ESTATE SALESPERSONS, or AGENTS. Some moron decided years ago that he would call himself a Broker to get some kind of leverage over other agents. Before you knew it the trend got around and now everyone in NY refers to Real Estate Agents as BROKERS. WE ARE NOT BROKERS. AND NOT ALL OF US ARE RETARDED UNEDUCATED SLEAZEBALLS. That being said, I am a Real Estate Agent and one of very few who was raised with good morals which drive me to be honest at all times. Not only am I ethical, but I have a musical and artistic background, and have good taste. I am a realist and that last thing I would do is misrepresent any property or push prices above market value. The space discussed IS a 3 Bedroom plus Office & Balcony & over 380sqft terrace: FACT. The value is at market price as it rented within 10 days of being listed: FACT. You want a challenge??? Go find a 3 bedroom with washer/dryer, dishwasher, duplex, 1,200sqft, balcony, private outdoor space, ‘DECENT’ finishes, anywhere within a 12 block radius of the Bedford, Lorimer, Graham L trains for under $3,800 that is CLEARLY BETTER then the above listing. You are all smoking something. Go back to what you are good at….drinking coffee and wasting your time complaining about overpriced this and overpriced that…or get a job or move the heck out of the MOST EXPENSIVE CITY in the USA. Seriously. This city is for hard working people…not lazy complainers.

  2. “The place is over 1,200sqft with a massive private terrace & separate balcony, and 3 large bedrooms with additional space for office”

that’s not what the listing says. it says 2 large bedrooms with an additional office space.

if it is in fact a 3.5 bedroom, the price is okay. if it’s a 2.5, I could probably find 5 better deals in better locations.

  3. digital brownstoner is a broker and this is his first post. If the apartment were rented, it should not be listed in streeteasy as for rent. Either you’re lying or streeteasy is incorrect.

    The place is FUGLY.

  4. I have to say developers in these neighborhoods go out of their way to do ugly. What is with haphazardly applied weird stucco facade treatment randomly replaced at irregular intevals by green wrought iron? Why a mid-cornice above the first floor which then is broken by more wrought iron. Don’t get me started on the multiple mismatching window conditions. The ugly is gratuitous.

  5. You guys are smoking something. The kitchen looks like a standard condo kitchen with nice stainless appliances, granite counter top, etc. Totally Standard and way nicer then the broken down kitchens in rundown 2-5 Fam homes. The place is over 1,200sqft with a massive private terrace & separate balcony, and 3 large bedrooms with additional space for office. It is actually more like a 3.5 bedroom. I saw it…and btw it rented within a week of being listed so if you know anything about property you are aware of the FACT that the value of any property is what it sells or leases for. Actually the value of ANYTHING is based on the average of what the particular item sells for. If you have something to say base it on math, not emotion.
