Rental of the Day: 219 Withers Street, #2B
Here’s a two-bedroom Williamsburg rental in the newish-looking development at 219 Withers Street. Looks like a pretty standard apartment as far as Williamsburg rentals go. There is a good amount of space, at 1,000 square feet, and two bathrooms, which is nice. There’s also a little patio off of one of the bedrooms, which might…

All in all this will run you $3,250 a month. Will that fly on the far side of the BQE?

djgreen13: i haven’t shopped around the neighborhood much for one bedrooms, but it definitely depends how big it is, and whether it’s a “real” 1BR (closet and window in the bedroom, real wall separating it from the living space/not one of those cheesy scarano-style “storage lofts”). looks like a nice new building though.
i’d check around on craigslist and other sites and see what 1BRs in that area are fetching in rent these days… and compare with the bedford stop area as well, you’re going to have to beat that rent by at least $200-300 or nobody is going to choose to live that far east (not that i’m a snob about that sort of thing, i’m about to move even further east…)
good luck!
I own a 1 bdrm at 180 Woodpoint that I may have to rent. If $3,250 is to much for a 2bd 2bath, what do you think is a fair price for a 1 bed with private outdoor space and laundry in the unit?
nice, but overpriced. i don’t think it’ll realistically fetch more than $2800. probably the owner having a case of wishful thinking…
if someone wants their kid or kids at PS132, then possibly yes. it’s a zoned school that has seen demand increase, so people outside the zone can’t get in like they used to be able to. convenient location for L train and shopping and restaurants on Metropolitan and Graham. roof deck probably has great views.
lived 2 blocks away for many years, bit of a walk to the L at graham. They could get someone in there quickly at or around $2500/mo. And also, on the decor, they need someone with a bit of taste to come in a stage the fuckr.
$3250 that close to Woodpoint? Not going to happen. Nice try, though!
Overpriced for that part of the nabe. There’s similar sized/priced stuff @ 175 Kent
Bathroom and Kitchen have the same old zero personality trend.
and whats with the retro furniture – it is ugly
That is absolutely one freaking ugly view out those windows.
