However, the promise of four separate bedrooms, four closets, and two bathrooms (all renovated) for $3,500 in Park Slope is appealing. And it sure is hard to beat the location, which is at 7th Avenue and 7th Street. Think there’s some sort of catch?

Yes, suspect if it’s listed by Rapid. And, to me, the location is not a draw. Noisy and being near only one subway line, the F, is not a plus.
It’s listed by Rapid and you’re wondering if there’s a catch?
yes, that’s what I was thinking as well.
It looks like a railroad apartment, i did a google of it and I did not see any air shafts in the middle so i am assuming there is 3 windows in the front and 3 in the back.
So 4 bedrooms doesn’t cut it….something isn’t right. I do want to see a floor plan.
i am going to say, 2 bedrooms at most, especially if you are having 2 bathrooms, because we all know back in the day when these tenements were built, you were lucky you had 1 bathroom.
BULLSHIT
No 19′ brownstone single floor has four bedrooms. Come on people, you know how these places are laid out !!!!
As soon as I saw this I knew Rob would approve of the rent-per-bedroom!
They are probably calling the little “office/nursery” a legit bedroom.
If there is 4 bedrooms and 6 windows, I am assuming the living room and kitchen and bathroom are in the middle and have no windows.
I also can’t imagine 4 bedrooms as being really bedrooms being size wize??, where is the floor plan, this I just have to see….
The building is only 19-feet wide, so it’s going to be a long extension hallway with three 10×10 bedrooms with side windows and one decently sized bedroom at the end. That said, it’s an OK deal even for a walk-up, if the place is nicely renovated (hard to tell with the “work-in-progress” nature of the pictures.
Just guessing, but I’m betting that the catch is a 4th floor walk-up, 4 bedrooms that are probably not big enough to be real bedrooms, and lots of late night ambulance sirens.
