Not far from Park Slope’s Old Stone House, this one-bedroom appears well kept, with white walls, hardwood floors, period details and recent updates. It’s on the second floor of a late 19th century red brick three-family at 271 6th Street.

Likely built as an apartment house, the property was advertised in 1916 as one of a pair of “three-story three-family brick houses” for sale as part of the disposition of an estate. The building has a ground-floor entrance, sharply angled bay, brownstone details and wood cornice with sawtooth banding.

The unit appears to have five rooms, including a living room with decorative stone mantel, bay window and pocket doors. With moldings, wood floors and two windows, the bedroom appears sizable.
