Is the sell price for 680 Dean Street correct? Corcoran has it being sold for $2,231,000. http://www.corcoran.com/nyc/Listings/Display/3132220
In any event, it’s very fascinating to watch the impact that Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park project is having on home values in the area. While brownstones in Prospect Heights have long commanded similar and higher prices, this wasn’t always the case for brick homes, and brick homes on a block like this at that. While 680 is a nice home (outside and in), it’s on a block with very disjointed architecture. Although this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, the most expansive uniformity (the brown, ugly row houses on the right hand side of block heading towards Washington just a little bit beyond 680) make the street otherwise unappealing. But buyers are really paying for location here. I’m so excited to see what’s happening to this neighborhood!
Pretty sure 142A Hull St is still on the market. I attended an open house around Mid-Nov, and I am still seeing it listed as active on the Halstead site.
Ok, thanks!
