That Park Slope house really looks amazing. I bet they have no problem getting their price. I’ve seen whats out there for sale and most of it is in bad shape and very expensive.
Stuyvesant house is very impressive. Will be interesting to see if they can fetch that price.
what happened to the friday spotlights on shops/restaurants? also, does anyone know anything about that new smooch spot on carlton near dekalb?
I adore the Park Slope house. Great renovation (and love the furniture). Perhaps the last sale at 1M less was pre-renovation? Regardless, I agree with 12:05 that the price seems far-fetched.
BH and CH houses are uninteresting. The BS house is lovely, but I’d sooner put my money in the mattress and stay where I am than spend that much there. Honestly, no diss to the area–I love it–but I just would never pay that much to live there.
OK, the Park Slope house — droolworthy in several ways. I wish I had the money to do the modern reno of the rear facade as they did. (Many Bstoner readers will hate it, I know.) Would change some design decisions — like light fixtures — but you will always run into that on a distinctive reno.
However, look at Pshark and you will see that the house sold a year ago for — touch finger to lip, Dr. Evil-style — *one million dollars* less.
I guess this place is tough to price but $800/sf even for a mint place seems too much for this location. (Totally fine, just not prime.) And if Pshark is right, there is hardly any backyard.
The Stuyvesant house is amazing. Is it a (1) family or (2)?
PS link does not work
That Stuyvesant house is awesome! I have no idea if it’s worth the money but Wow.
