Another time, CGar. Hope y’all had fun.
LOL, Snarky. We missed you last night, naturally. Brooklyn Social is a fun place, and we largely had it to ourselves.

Perhaps the new buyer is already trying to flip it?
Watching too much A&E/HGTV is known to have that side effect.
1 out of 4. bearish
Interesting that the “For Sale” sign was still up in front of 143 Amity this morning. Wondering if they think the sale might not go through.
duckumu, you’re right, and here’s the history of 143 Amity:
StreetEasy History
05/28/2009 Listed by Brown Harris Stevens at $3,900,000.
06/25/2009 Price decreased by 12% to $3,450,000.
09/22/2009 Price decreased by 13% to $2,995,000.
01/15/2010 Listing entered contract.
It’s a narrow house, and it needs a LOT of work. But, I, too, love Amity Street, except for its proximity to LICH, and I say this as someone who lives 2 blocks away, also with too close proximity to LICH. (Plus there’s a really mean woman on Amity, a few houses away, who hates dogs and puts down rock salt which hurts their paws.)
yes, it’s on congress not amity, both streets are beautiful, I sometimes can’t tell them apart.
Minard, aren’t you referring to the brick apartment building on Congress & Clinton, across from Cobble Hill Park, that people always say looks like a project??
the big coop is on congress, not amity. people disparage that block of amity for completely different reasons (the hospital is at the west end of that block).
it is of course still one of the best streets in cobble hill despite what people say.
i’m curious what the amity st house went for. i think it was originally asking $3.9m.
