And I forgot to add, this a**h*** was (or is) a lowballer and was trying to twist the nice old man into selling for less in one of those cash only deals.
When the real estate market went into the gutter, unfortunatelly the worms and parasites grew in number.
I just wanted to post this comment about the Sunset park house. It is an absolutely beautifull house and a great deal but unfortunatelly some a**h*** posted negative comments on this website as well as others (in a co-ordinated manner) and I was stupid enough to take it seriously.
By the time we went around to look at the house, it was already in contract.
Just want to warn everyone to be carefull about comments, opinions etc on this site, there are f***up sellers, buyers and agents out there.
All the “bulls” must be in hiding.
Sure Nomi, didn’t you know? The big real estate bubble of the noughties was all 100% because of real estate agents. Isn’t it a relief to finally know?
The greed of the real estate agents brought this on?
Yes it is finally hitting the fan. Reality is finally starting to settle in. It won’t be long before we start seeing real estate agents collecting used cigarette butts off the sidewalks. Sad but the greed of the real estate agents brought this.
Not good that only 1 of 4 sold. The sunset park sold because it was priced right.
I think the 8th Street house had a contract that fell apart. $799k is still too expensive since the smaller Ditmas Park asks are falling to low $800s. Meanwhile the modest houses in Kensington on the other side of Ocean Parkway are now below $600k.
I walk by that 8th street place all the time and its great looking. Not 1 million bucks great but great none the less.
Anyone knw what happened to that three family limestone on Stuyvesant avenue asking 1.2 million? It was diagonally across from Fulton Park and the A train. Or what happened with that building Barbara Corcoran bought on Stuy Ave? Did she get rid of the rent stabalized tenant yet?
