    Could that many New Yorkers really be satisfied with this idea that we should be condemned to a constant stream of new taxes and increases without accountability from our legislature?
    I really don’t mind paying taxes as that is what’s expected to maintain our society and government, but when it goes to paying triple overtime to state psychiatric nurses making more than an average psychiatrist or to Port Authority gardeners making more than 175K a year and the list goes on and on, where do we say it’s enough?
    Run the city with the state and city with the budget you’re given, stop giving sweetheart deals to Unions with expectations of ever increasing benefits and yearly increases. In the private sector, guess what, no one is getting many of these collective bargaining deals.
    And now the President has signed off on a deal to exclude big unions from taxes on “cadillac” healthcare plans. Nice, while the average sucker still pays through the nose.

    we get the goverment we deserve people, and so far
    New Yorkers have gotten a hosing in taxes. No wonder, everyone’s going to Texas!

    And that’s from a New Yorker, born and raised.
