548 4th avenue park slope large

The latest crop of luxury rentals on Park Slope’s 4th Avenue comes from 548 4th Avenue, which offers two-bedroom, two-bath units starting at $3,800, as Curbed was the first to report. Ideal Properties is marketing the nine-story, 17-unit building at the corner of 15th Street. Smaller units start at $3,800 and larger ones at $3,900, according to a press release.

The building has two apartment layouts, A and B, which clock in at 938 and 981 square feet respectively. The fixtures and finishes are pretty typical of new luxury rentals (the wood windows are a nice touch), but the apartments almost seem large enough to justify the monthly outlay. 1. In addition to the mediocrity of the apartments, let us not forget how awful is 4th Avenue. These buildings are like Lego boxes nestled by an expressway — no ambience or character or stores for humans. When I walk to Whole Foods I marvel that people choose to live there, on 4th Avenue that is. Maybe people are really desperate. I do not think this would be my location of choice even if I could afford the place.

  2. Unless these units come with a live-in butler who caters to your every whim, the term “luxury” is misapplied. An IKEA showroom looks like the Ritz-Carlton compared to this.
