Here’s something we may start to see more of: Brokelyn reports that three enterprising recent college grads have avoided moving in with mom and dad by pitching a tent in the backyard of a friend’s Bushwick rental. The price? $100 a month per tent. The experience is not for the faint of heart, given that there are already six people crammed into the two-bedroom duplex. In all, that makes for nine people sharing one shower. All of a sudden, crashing on the ‘rents couch doesn’t sound too bad.

  1. I live in my mommy’s house and my indignation is completely misplaced.

These little boys will soon be taking my job away from me. That I why I want them to leave.

Go back to California so the menial jobs are all mine!

  2. i can tell u for a FACT if those three ADULTS (hate when people in their 20s refer to themselves as kis) were not pasty white kids, there would be a huge sh*tstorm about what they are doing.

on that note where do i sign up??

    *rob*

  3. They don’t give a crap. They are having fun. Probably no jobs to go find, anyway.

Any other tenants in the house, or the building for that matter, don’t seem to give a crap.

Their neighbors probably don’t give a crap. THey probably haven’t even noticed. Almost a guarantee that no one is making use of the yards on either side of them.

So why do all of you that give a crap…give a crap? Mwwahhhh. Whaaaaaagh. Disgusting. Illegal. Asshats. Lazy. Whhwwwwagh. Mahhh. see?

Seriously. Why. Do. You. Care. s.t.f.u.

  4. New Brownstoner forum: Pathetic Living Space of the Day

Brownstoner caught up with the sub-leaser of a shower/bathtub in rent stabilized apartment in Windsor Terrace. When asked about the sometimes luke-warm water in the bath shower-lord Ramone Smith (obviously Filipino) said that the problems were being corrected and to expect a new bath mat in the near future for this pre-war tub in WT.
