While the lead headline in today Post story about the sale of a clock-faced apartment in Dumbo was old hat, news of a much larger clock-faced apartment at the 1 Main Street would hit the market next year for over $10 million was far more interesting. We have to admit to being a little confused by all these clocktowers. The $10 million one can’t be Walentas’ own clocktower apartment can it? At some point in the last few months we recall reading a comment by him to the effect that if someone wanted to pay $25 million for his clocktower apartment, it would be all theirs. This raises an important question: How many apartments with clock faces are there in Dumbo?

Other nuggets in the story:
– 70 Washington is is 80% sold
– J Condo is 87% sold
– The Beacon is more than 80% sold

  1. Walentas’ apartment at 1 Main, where he still lives, is just below the clocktower apartment, which has never been occupied and which Walentas is building out (it was on the market a few years ago as raw space) to put on the market.

  2. As far as I know, three – the one shown here, the former Walentas pad in the Clocktower also mentioned in the article and the one in the Eagle Warehouse.

I’m more curious about exactly how many apartments Busta Rhymes owns in Brooklyn!
