The photos reveal the house is in nearly totally original (and apparently very good) condition — including parquet and inlaid floors, French doors, Art Deco baths, original kitchen cupboards, and black iron windows.
We think we even spy original celluloid handles on the cabinets in one kitchen. We don’t know why you’d want to change a thing, looks-wise, beyond freshening up the floors and painting.
The two-family is 26 feet wide, and there’s a garage under the house. The ask is $979,000. Has anyone seen it in person?

A prime candidate for my proposed “Million Dollar Dump” series.
Saw it – needs a lot of work, completely new mechanicals, new roof and kitchen. Couldn’t see the wine cellar, it “might collapse.”
I honestly think this is a super cute house. Has that 1930-40’s feel and is in a great location. I know I missed the open house, but once the weather is nice I’m going to start looking around there. At least just for dreaming purposes.
Wish they had a floor plan. would be interesting to see what layout is.
The backyard picture —- that basement door hatch…..Could that be a entrance to bomb shelter?

In this crazy market, it will probably go for above ask. There was a lot of young family types and the block is nice enough.
As far as the wine cellar, heard it was put in by the original owner back in the 40’s, so I’m not sure.
