This two-family house at 66 South 3rd Street in Williamsburg might appeal to a buyer who is looking for a 19th century townhouse in the area and wants to renovate. Although the rental unit on the top floor hasĀ been completely gutted, the finishes are cheap and could use an upgrade. Downstairs, the owners duplex has been less altered but needs work, judging by the photos. A buyer might want to redo the PermaStone facade as well.Ā The listing says the rental income is high but doesn’t specify what it is. Considering condition and location, do you think the ask ofĀ $1,649,000 is reasonable?

  1. I started a blog 6 Months ago to feature listings that I came across that I thought were good deals, but I’m so wrapped up with my kid. Love being with him that I don’t have time for anything else. Maybe I should put the Cfruit in daycare so I can browse listings all day.

  2. 99.9% of HOTD and COTD come from the b’oner’s marketplace. There are some interesting listings out there that aren’t part of your database, even some in prime brooklyn. there was a newly listed 2 apt combo (2 bed) in bklyn heights that needed work. It was a great price ($700 sq ft). With a terrace. Thought it would get featured here, but because it’s not in the marketplace, didn’t get any love. Etc, etc, etc.
