It’s rare to find a one-family brownstone with details for sale in Bushwick, but 34 Linden Street is just that. The property looks like it could use a little polishing, and there are no photos of kitchens or baths, but most of the wood molding and one mantel appear to be intact, if covered in paint. The floors look new. Also, the house is on a side street, which is presumably quieter than Bushwick Avenue. The property went through lis pendens and changed hands for $685,000 in July. Now the ask is $999,800. What do you make of it?

Interesting. Last time I checked on this, they wanted $1.3 mil for this one and the one next door – sold as a package only. No wonder they didn’t sell it – the previous agent was very rude. Also, this house had a squatter living in it at some point.
And even though it’s off Broadway, it does feel like a cozy, peaceful block.
