Here’s another ambitious listing in Cobble Hill. On Tuesday four of five of the biggest sales of the week were in the neighborhood. The most expensive, a HOTD in March at 321 Clinton Street, sold for $4,250,000. That home was dripping with original detail: “original ceiling murals, stained glass doors, white marble mantels and elaborate crown molding,” and was on an extra-deep lot. This house is asking $4,400,000. It’s a large, 25-foot wide and 47-foot deep home, and it retains a few details including six marble mantels. Most significantly, it has a 22-foot high, double height living area, sacrificing a significant portion of the floor above the parlor for what is certainly a dramatic space but one that not all buyers are going to want (and how do you clean those upper windows?). The garden floor rental is attractive with exposed beams and the kitchens and baths are all nicely done. What do you think? Will the owner get this price?
