House of the Day: 208 Lefferts Place

Flipmaster Flash! This brownstone at 208 Lefferts Place in Bed Stuy was purchased in August of 2011 for $600,000. The new owner is now trying to sell the property for $1,449,000. Say what? If the house were in decent shape, that would be a reasonable asking price, but it looks like someone ran out of money in the very early stages of gutting the place. At least there are a few architectural details in place but this is clearly a great fishing expedition. We know the market’s hot and all but this is silly.
