This parlor floor of this Crown Heights limestone looks mint, with tons of unpainted wood work and all the classic Crown Heights features: mantels, stained glass, hall seat, screen, pier mirror, etc. But there are only four photos, and the listings says the property will need new kitchens and baths. It also implies the ground-floor rental has been stripped. From what we can see in the photos, an electrical upgrade might be required as well. On the plus side, the floors and walls look to be in decent shape, which should save some bucks. What do you say to the ask of $1,100,000?

The limestones in this area are some of the wider types in the neighborhood which is a big plus. The parlor floor looks lovely, but the location of this building is a bit sketchy (off Kingston Avenue). Can’t see paying a million for it but compared to what you’d get in Manhattan (including a backyard), this would be a huge bargain. It’s so hard to find something nice that’s also in a nice neighborhood. But we keep trying…
