House of the Day: 102 Gates Avenue

Here’s the kind of listing we love to see: The house needs restoration, but just about every original detail appears to be present. Apparently we’re not the only ones, because we hear 350 people attended the open house on Sunday! We wish the agent had included photos of kitchens and baths, but going by the floor plan, they may well be original (excepting the added kitchen on the fourth floor). We’d estimate the property, which looks just like ours when we bought it, needs about $200,000 in work to fully restore to its original state — or $300,000 if you want to get fancy in the kitchens and baths. Given that, do you think they’ll get their price of $1,295,000?
