The asking price is $889,000. How do you rate its chances?

“Now, I know there’s no Prospect Park equivalent nearby”
You’re not far from Forest Park, which depending on your preferences, is at least as nice as Prospect Park, if not more so. Not to mention Flushing Bay-Corona Park, although you’re at the southern end, which they’ve basically turned over to a nature preserve.
Sorry, I don’t know how to make the Internet machine work. But if you copy the link, paste it into a word document, hit return and then click on the link, it’ll take you there. Can anyone tell me how to do this properly?
No problem, Mopar.
By the way, this is one of the blocks in Forest Hills that I was thinking about:

(hope the link works)
These houses tend to be in the $850k range, but they’re also around 1,800 square feet, which is about 30% bigger than the Windsor Terrace house. Now, I know there’s no Prospect Park equivalent nearby, but this block in Forest Hills is about an 8 minute walk from an express subway stop (20 minutes to midtown on the E) and an LIRR stop (12 minutes to Penn Station) and a 5 minute walk from all the shopping and restaurants on Austin Street. There’s also a large common garden behind these houses. Not for nothin. I’m just sayin.
LowerUWSider, thanks for the info on the windows. Interesting.
I’m not really in London… but I would love to live in South Kensington. This Kensington is OK, but the one in London would be better. Maybe I’ll look into getting a pied-a-terre there.
I lived in London for many years. Would take Hampstead over Kensington any day. Probably why I wouldn’t turn my nose up to a pristine house in Forest HIlls, either. Have children, of course.
I’m still in London…
I’m not buttering you up tybur. Sheesh. All I want after wiring my life savings to you in London, after you were robbed at knife point in the park in front of your hotel, is to have a drink with you. Name a day, and I’ll round up a handful of PLUSAs and meet you at Sycamore.
CGar… remember I’m broke. No point in buttering me up!
