House of the Day: 121 Windsor Place

Its location has a couple of things in its favor, too, namely its proximity to the F Train and Prospect Park. Given that it’s only about 2,000 square feet, though, think the asking price of $1,095,000 is on the mark?

Are house values in WT now the same as in Carroll Gardens? Seems unbelievable to me but I bought a building very recently this size (1900) sqft for 1.1 on a great block in CG. so I guess they are. crazy!
This is more of a c1914 townhouse right? I would not call this a brownstone…
yes, i do belive prices will fall…perhaps in a worst case scenario…20%.
so an average 2 million dollar home in park slope will then be worth 1.6 million dollars.
does that make it more affordable to you?

hard to say without seeing the bathrooms, but i’d estimat 125K to create a nice 1 family home

Do you think there is guarantee that brownstones will never fall in price?
It is foolish to think that.
While it is unlikely that prices will drop 30 to 50% in the near term, steep declines have occured several times in the past.
What would you all estimate the cost for renovating a place like this, into a nice one family home? (Including the basement)I know there is a wide range of costs on materials, but for discussion purposes let’s say above average stuff.
2:07 is waiting for all browstones hit 400K, then he/she’ll swoop in
If you’re looking for a renovated brownstone for less than $1.0 million you’ll be a renter for the rest of your life.
my bad, it is a 2 fam…so def a good buy
unless there’s something structurally wrong
