There’s lots to choose from if you are a deep-pocketed buyer with a hankering for a house on Willow Street. Back in December, 69 Willow Street ($5,750,000) was a House of the Day, followed by 46 Willow Street ($4,000,000) and 47 Willow Street ($2,400,000) in February. And of course, there’s the mother of them all, Truman Capote’s former crib at 70 Willow, which is still for sale at the reduced price of $15,900,000. Now, as Curbed noted yesterday, there’s one more to add to the list: 26 Willow Street, a gorgeous 23-foot-wide Greek Revival house that just hit the market with an asking price of $3,800,000. Sweetness.

  1. If you notice from EH’s previous posts, she complains regularly about the traffic on Henry and Clinton in Brooklyn Heights, hates bike lanes, etc so it’s rather funny she’s commenting on the traffic in other neighborhoods.

  2. 11217, you are being completely disingenuous, I suspect you’re troll-baiting Minard. This house just came on the market yesterday. I know real estate is hot, hot, hot, but even in Park Slope it takes longer than that to sell.

  3. EH,
Where were you in Park Slope that was ‘too crowded’ and had ‘too much traffic’ on Saturday??
Certainly not on 7th, 8th or PPW.
And BH / CH traffic is often bad. Clinton Street frequently gets horrible backups.

  4. 18 minutes from Jay to rock on F.
18 minutes from Jay to 42nd on A (if you want to be on 8th avenue).
Easy/quick transfer from one to another at Jay.

Bergen to Jay – 2 minutes.
So how ever much longer take you to get to Jay is the difference.
I don’t think much difference. F may seem slow once you get past Carroll gardens and the stops/time add up.
