House of the Day: Classic Fort Greene Goodness
This brownstone listing in Fort Greene looks like a beauty. The 22-foot-wide classic brownstone appears to be in good shape. The triplex over duplex set-up is well-configured for family living plus income. The prime location–three blocks from the park–certainly doesn’t hurt either. We think this’ll go for at least asking price.

Not everyone wants stripped moldings. Minor consideration.
I do agree with Bstoner re the 17 foot ceilings. I think that realtors don’t always measure and just think it looks really high on the parlor floor, or just take the seller’s word for it. parlours generally have 12 to 14 foot ceilings. The floor to ceiling windows make it seem even taller.
Great place and location, sure it will go for asking at least.
The place definitely has 5 floors. Lower duplex with upper triplex. At 22×45(4950 sq/ft total), you wont find many larger building in FG/CH. The exterior was refinished by Edson a couple of years ago and still looks as good as the day it was finished. Like most brooklyn backyards, the yards needs a green thumb, but is ideal for children and pets.
As a neighboor, i am very sorry to see the the owner go. I hope that whoever is lucky enough to acquire this property isnt in it for the quick flip. Its definitely a property that you could raise a family in.
Check again – there are other photos. Detail is there, but all of the moldings are painted white and would need to be stripped.
