House of the Day: Gut Rehab Candidate
If you’re feeling adventurous, this shell on St. Mark’s Avenue in Park Slope may present an interesting opportunity to arb the market. The asking price for the 4-story house is $1.1 million. If you could do the reno for $500,000, you’d probably create $200,000 or so of value. Of course, in the meantime, who knows…

oh i dont even live in ch lol. you should read the message boards more. i never ever say anything postive. i always complain about some area’s. ch never even mention that place.
lol i never glamorize anything :p.
Arm chair, I think you fail to miss the point. This is not a project for everyone (Including yourself since your not advocating it).
It’s for people that have a bit more motivation and resolve to customize their homes. What’s the rush, I mean it takes every child typically 9+ months before their born and the mother has to labor through it.
Leave this one alone AC, as you often glamorize your slum hood of CH
This house is more expensive than another Park Slope (Name st) 3 story house:

Frame : Brick
Subway proximity
Finished : Bare Bricks and beams
the reason i said they are dreaming cuase. its simple if it cost like 1.1 mill and probably cost about $400k for average person to fix it or more. that house would be like 1.5 mill or more. and the time takes months, probably take 6 months or so.
thats way too much time and money spent on something like this. you could buy something simillar for same price with it not being a wreck.
lol i’m on soooooo many blogs and forums you wont believe and my post count is huge!! :p.
Arm chair bounces around from all the blogs, including Brooklynian.com
As for your dreaing, I thought you were the dreamer, according to your user motto.
This property is on an excellent block and it needs work, but i’d rather be the owner of a turd property in an excellent hood, rather than a decent house in a slum hood (See Bed Stuy property)
these guys are dreaming if they get more than 800k for it.
Almost makes me want to give up my brownstone and move to SI?
