greene sceneBlogger Set Speed reports that the Greene Scene Condos, the townhouse condo development on Adelphi between Dekalb and Willoughby, have their first accepted offer. For $1.175 million, the buyer gets a 2,029 square foot duplex. “If I had the flow, I would’ve went after the penthouse units at the Greene House Condos instead,” notes ltjbukem. “I would’ve gladly gave up 500 sq ft of livable space for the outdoor terraces..and the doorman..and the gym..and the 1 block walk to the C train.” Okay, we get the point (and would tend to agree).

  1. Oww! That kind of grammar really does hurt! And you know this is probably the product of some expensive institution of higher learning as well…Regardless of your reluctance to edit a direct quotation (a feeling with which I totally agree), just a well-placed (sic) here and there would have let us know that you do not participate in the progressive elimination of the past participle that seems to have overtaken so much of our society (although the literacy of your usual pieces reassured us of that already).

  2. Who would want to live in either? Crap and crap.

I looked at those condos at 70 Washington and would have spent my $1mm there (on the side that doesn’t have the parking lot/possible new developement).

Or, better, there are a couple of nice old-school brownstone duplexes in Brooklyn Heights for this price.

This REALLY feels like Greenspan’s “froth” to me.
