From $525K to $1.26M in the South Slope

This won’t make the Biggest Sales list, but 8 Jackson Place still seems like a notable sale for a home around Prospect Avenue. The two-family South Slope home hit the market for $1,250,000 in early March. It entered contract one month later and the sale just hit public records, showing the property went for $1,256,300. The home was previously purchased in 2005 for $525,000, so someone may have turned a pretty hefty profit here. There aren’t many interior charms to speak of, and the vinyl siding ain’t doing much for us either. (Check out the listing here.) Still, who knows what sort of condition it was in six years ago. What do you make of the price? Any guesses as to why it was snatched up so quickly?
