“BAM Historic District” – D’oh! 😉
One of the problems with this building was that too many apartments were at the lot line. If another building were to be built along the common lot line, they would lose the windows in that area; challenging the selling point of a bright breezy apartment.
I hope they open a “Soul Glow” boutique in Forte’s commercial space…Anyway, it may not be as handsome as Toren but its location in the BAM histric distric more than makes up for it. Besides, you will spend more time looking out of your condo windows than looking at the building.
I’ve long thought this was one of the worst-looking buildings I’d seen in some time. Earlier, I thought it was just unfinished. Now I realize it’s not unfinished – it’s just unattractive.

I love that movie. Prince Hakeem moved to Queens to search for his Nubian Queen. Maybe he could find his love at the Forte, Oro, Toren…:D
BHO says “Excuse me, HAKEEM. Too much ‘Coming to America’.” What is that supposed to mean? And, what does it have to do with this thread??
Excuse me, HAKEEM. Too much ‘Coming to America’. Oro’s uglier by far.
