Here’s a double-shot from that no-man’s land between Prospect and Crown Heights. The three-family house at 790 Bergen Street appears to have been bought for no money down back in 2005; the current lien against it is $663,187. The house at right is 958 Pacific Street. In addition to being in foreclosure to the tune of $314,511, the billing address for the owner is c/o Wall Street disaster of the week IndyMac. Go figure.

  1. Looks like Bergen closed for $605,953 in August of ’09. (So … not sold at auction?) and Pacific closed for $415,740 in September of ’08.

  2. it’s no man’s land because it’s marked as the crown heights / prospect heights border, and because there are few businesses between franklin and washington, and no subway stop. foot traffic is low and it’s kinda quiet.

  3. Mr Q: I think what is meant by the comment is that it is right on the border of PH and CH. As such, determining which neighborhood it belongs to can come into question. Don’t think it was meant as a slight to the people that live there.

  4. Just curious, how many people live in this “no-mans land”? Chistopher Columbus did not discover America and Hipsters/Yuppies didn’t discover Brooklyn either. Be careful my fellow neighbors your words say much more about you then you may realize.
