There was a lot of discussion concerning the conversion at 216 Pacific when we first covered it as Development Watch over a year ago. Back then, it was slated to be a mixed-use building with commercial use on the bottom two floors with the top two floors split into three residential units. Now the commercial space is spoken for: Flavor Paper, a designer wallpaper company that hails from New Orleans, has been set up in all its neon wondrousness since September. And all three upstairs units are occupied by Flavor Paper employees. We took a look inside the building, which is just now getting fully operational. They’ll be posting information about showroom appointments in a short matter of time. It is a sight to see, if only to test their scratch and sniff banana wallpaper.

  1. ” was able to see into the apartments from an apartment on Bergen Street, and they look amazing.” –
    the peeping Tom strikes again.

  2. I too saw this place on the Boerum Hill tour. The Flavor guy(s) did an amazing job with it. It’s beautifully designed and a sight to behold.

  3. By coincidence, I was looking at some prints and wallpaper by Dan Funderburgh last week, some of which are carried by Flavor Paper. Anyone here who loves Aesthetic Movement, check it out.

  4. I love the building but absolutely hate the purple neon they have going at night. It looks more in place in the Meat Packing district than brownstone Brooklyn.

  5. Their space was on the Boerum Hill house tour a few weeks ago. It is great looking and the building has an amazing roof garden that reminded me of a mini high-line.
