In a co-op, this rental has a spacious foyer, four closets and a renovated kitchen. It is on the fifth floor of 657 East 26th Street and prospective renters will have to face a co-op interview and approval.

The Colonial Revival elevator building, originally known as The Clinton House, was completed in 1940 and this unit has the generous proportions and interior details of many apartments of the era.

Rooms open off the foyer which has a niche with shelves, a closet and arched openings to the living room and a hall. At 20 feet long the living room is large enough to fit a dining table or work from home perch. It isn’t shown in the photos, but the floor plan indicates there is a passthrough to the kitchen.

The kitchen has been renovated with gray cabinets, tile flooring and a glass tile backsplash. The dishwasher has a panel front to match the cabinets and the floor plan indicates there is also a wine fridge.

Just a few feet shorter than the living room, the bedroom has the benefit of two exposures with three windows total. The closet is angled which might make hanging a bit awkward, but there is another closet in the hall and a linen closet outside the bathroom.

That bathroom, which doesn’t appear to be as recently renovated as the kitchen, has white fixtures and beige floor and wall tiles.

There is laundry in the building along with a live-in super and a bike room. No pets are allowed. It is a no-fee listing, although there isn’t a mention whether there is a fee involved for the co-op review.

Listed with Soranlly Adames-Lopez of Douglas Elliman, it is priced at $2,300 a month. What do you think?
