Dueling Light Shows in BAM Cultural District
While the clock face at One Hanson was turned on for the first time last night, the public plaza in front of the Forte was illuminated with Christmas lights. Tis the season.

Looks like a lit table of some sort on the roof.

9:40 – You may want to ask the Clarett Group shill who was in the NYT a few days ago…She went to the roof with the NYT reporter yet failed to address the glaring issue – if the place is so great, why are seventy-five percent of the buildings still unsold? Or you may want to ask the crack sales staff who have taken to offering food and drink to anyone willing to hear the open house sales pitch. I agree with you though, I wouldn’t want to see the place, in person, either.
I visited Forte a couple of days ago. The apartments felt very good inside. Excellent layouts. However I would agree over priced. Amazingly, they expect people to be moving in within a month.
I was up there on Sunday. Nothing to speak of on the roof yet. This was before the lights, though. (Which I still haven’t seen — I’m out of town this week.)
Curently there is very little to mention architectually in the BAM area. I don’t see it as advertising to show some Christmas lights. Besides, the real lighting for the Forte’ is the multicolored water tower thing on the roof.
I wonder what the “landscaped” roofdeck that they advertised will look like. Anyone up there since the lights? Is there a disco ball and turntables too?
I know you’re paid to advertise the Forte, that outrageously overpriced eyesore that will be surrounded by other ugly shademaking buildings soon, but is this really noteworthy?…or just another sad excuse to plug your sponsor? Or is it an intentionally pathetic post meant emphasize why the Forte cannot sell…a brilliant scheme to keep the advertiser on this site longer than the ages they’ve been advertising on this site?
Wow!
Now…it will be wonderful when they get the clock keeping time. Isn’t it supposed to be a year or two until that “time”.
Forte: It does “tower” over the nabe…but it’s not going anywhere. Welcome shade. At least it’s set back decently instead of being built to the sidewalk.
What about those new LED lights in the big BAM windows? I find them so cool… somebody post a picture please!
The Forte water tower is aglow with changing lights as well.
