Developers Group Bringin' It in The Heights
When we think of The Developers Group, a lot of things come to mind (most of which our lawyers won’t let us say), but brownstones are not one of them. So imagine our surprise when, only a few hours after bumping into a recent purchaser one of their condos and hearing first-hand about the litany…
When we think of The Developers Group, a lot of things come to mind (most of which our lawyers won’t let us say), but brownstones are not one of them. So imagine our surprise when, only a few hours after bumping into a recent purchaser one of their condos and hearing first-hand about the litany of problems that have been cropping up in her building, we came across this listing for a $4.25 million house in Brooklyn Heights. What is The Developers Group doing getting top drawer brownstone listings in Brooklyn Heights? Does this mark a new strategic initiative by the folks who made a name for themselves converting loft buildings in Dumbo and Clinton Hill? Well, heck, if they can get people to camp out on the street in sleeping bags for the privilege of bidding on their condos, they can probably move quality Brooklyn Heights merchandise with relative ease. Anyone know if this is the beginning of a big push for the firm or more of a one-off? As for the building, it looks all good, but there is very little information in the listing so it’s pretty difficult to comment more specifically.
108 Joralemon [Developers Group]
There is a garage attached to this house, but the listing doesn’t say whether or not that is included in the sale.
The building itself is, I believe, just two studio apartments on each floor.
The Developers Group are a bunch of Corcoran coat-tail riders who have borrowed their same over-the-top boastful style. The owner, Elan?, is a bragging fool with an overdose of do-you-know-who-I-am cockiness. I hate this firm, wish Corcoran would just crush them. Their employees jumped the Corcoran ship and ended up there–I assume there was just to much ego to go around. Their style is super-agressive and downright sleezy. Go away. Stay out of Brooklyn Heights and stop changing your garb to falsely “fit into” the demographic of the neighborhood where you are selling condos. This firm sucks. Sail far away on your 50-foot boat that you so like to boast about.
Wonder if the Witnesses also are the ones who sold Developers Group their buildings in Dumbo…
Interesting to note that records indicate that
Watchtower (aka Jehovah Witnesses) own the property.
