Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz Scoop Up Martin Amis' Cobble Hill Brownstone for $6.75 Million

Two more actors are planting roots in Brooklyn.
Back in August, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz purchased a landmarked four-story townhouse in the Cobble Hill Historic District, according to the New York Post. Property records show that it was purchased for $6.75 million through an LLC called On the Rows.
It was previously owned by the British writer Martin Amis and his wife, the writer Isabel Fonseca, who purchased the home in 2010 for $2.5 million.
On December 31, 2016, there was a fire at the home caused by a deteriorated chimney. According to the Post, Amis and his family have since reportedly moved to a “Downtown Brooklyn high-rise.”
The original listing by Corcoran notes that it was “offered as a clean, blank slate,” and that it has a brand new roof due to the fire. Interior photos show the house is a gutted shell.
Craig is best known as the latest actor to portray the legendary spy James Bond in the successful movie franchise. Weisz won an Academy Award for her role in the 2005 film “The Constant Gardener.”
The two married in 2011 and previously lived in Manhattan.
