actually, I slept on a murphy bed for 3 years and enjoyed it. It’s a great ammenity to have in a studio apt.
Ground floor apartments are considered a plus for active seniors who want to age in place and not have to deal with the hassles of a walk-up.
I’ve seen both and the 8th Ave place has a good sized sep. EIK instead of the little on facing you in President St.
President apt. is on the street level, but I’d take that over having to sleep on a murphy bed.
The pink apartment is on the garden floor, facing the street. I think that configuration is unfavorable, even on a relatively quiet street.
It’s worth noting that the one with less charm (i.e., the non-pink one) DOES have a much lower maintainance — less than $300. That’s a huge factor, especially for someone who is stretching to buy their first place (as you’d expect with a studio).
